MarriageFit

Building Relational Strength through Physical Fitness

What Is MarriageFit?

  • A two hour workshop to help couples build camaraderie and trust.
  • An experiential event that uses functional fitness to help couples connect emotionally and physically as partners.
  • A wonderful way to improve communication, see one another's strengths, and have a fun while learning how to work and live better together.

What Is MarriageFit Not?

  • Marriage Fit is not group therapy. You won't be asked to share personal details. At most you may be invited to share what you're learning as we go, should you want to!
  • Marriage Fit is not  a replacement for counseling. It's simply a new way to learn about yourself and your spouse.
  • Marriage Fit is not  CrossFit or weightlifting. People at all fitness levels and with with diverse sport preferences will find value in what they learn.

Who is MarriageFit For?

  • Shake up the status quo.
  • Improve marital satisfaction.
  • Bring spice and excitement into their relationship & bond over new experiences.

  • Begin exercising together.
  • Give their current fitness regimen a deeper meaning going forward.

I’m a Licensed Associate Counselor and a Certified Life Coach with a focus on addressing the whole person - mind, body, and spirit. I developed the MINDSET Approach to highlight the interconnectedness of our physical and emotional health. I work with clients to find freedom from disordered eating by developing a sustainable relationship with food, exercise, and body image.

In order to be truly healthy, we must pay attention to our physical and emotional health, which are incredibly intertwined. You can be in great physical condition, yet if you have destructive self-talk, you aren’t actually healthy. In a similar way, if you claim to love yourself just the way you are but deny your body the proper nutrition and activity it physiologically needs, then you aren’t actually healthy. It is only when we optimize the relationship between our physical and emotional health that we can truly lead whole, healthy lives.

I'm the owner of CrossFit Reverence. But that sounds too fancy. Really, I have the honor of stewarding the best community ever!  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Coach, trained in Reality Therapist and Choice Theory with the William Glasser Institute. And a Level 2 CrossFit Trainer. Before taking the baton at CrossFit Reverence, I had a private counseling and executive coaching practice in Bentonville for 13 years.

Based on my personal and professional experience, I became convinced some years ago, that therapy plus a consistent regimen of physical fitness in safe and productive group environment was the fastest and most effective way to help clients discover emotional freedom, increase mind-body awareness, and build the self-confidence they need to overcome any challenge. We are all capable of so much more than we know. Functional fitness and the community that comes with it teach us how to overcome just about anything.
